Camping at Silver Creek Falls

This past weekend we began the camping season by heading up to Silver Creek Falls for 2 nights. We have hiked Silver Falls a number of times, but have never stayed at the campground. We met up with some friends for a night, and then the grandparents came for an afternoon, too!!

Allie loves to roast hot dogs and marshmallows!!


And, of course, we had to go for hikes and check out the scenery.


Can you see all the people in the picture above.. they are about to walk behind South Falls. Allie and her friends are in the lead..



Allie is checking out the "mossy" forrest. She looked at the trees and turned to us and said "there is so much moss on these trees it is ridiculous." Uh, why, yes.. it is ... ridiculous ? who taught her that?



Life in a camper is great... ask Shannon.

Allie got to do some fishing with grandmadaddy.. though not much luck.

The girls, however, did have a lot of fun playing "pooh sticks"....

A great start to the camping season...
