Gingerbread Houses

This week we went to a Habitat for Humanity Gingerbread House Making Contest and Fundraiser...

The girls enjoyed making their houses....  But first they had to be glued together... that part was not much fun...

But soon, they could start decorating.. Allie created a red roof with a blue chimney.. :)   She named hers the "silly house"...

Shannon named hers "sarah...".  (She names lots of things sarah these days).

And, then they left them to be put on display at our local library....  We are very excited to go see them!!!

Dec the Halls...

We love Christmas... the girls are ready to decorate... so, I got down our first box.  And they were so excited to open it up. 

They have been playing with the "itty bitty city" as Shannon called it. ;)  She may have said "Nativity", but it sounded like itty bitty.

November

Where has November gone??  It seems we have been busy, yet I am not sure what we have been up to... lets see....

shannon decided she needed shin guards like big sister while in Dicks.  Kyle could not resist.  She wears them all the time, now.. even to bed.  strange.

We went to HUB in portland with a large group of friends and enjoyed a nice dinner while the kids played.  Then the they wanted a bit of story time.

We added to our family. Lindsay, our new guinea pig, is keeping Sarah company and entertaining the girls.

Allie is really into Autumn, so we spent a lot of time doing autumn crafts.  Here we made stain glass leaves for our windows.   They turned out great and the girls had fun.

Now it is time to get ready for December, I guess...

Happy Halloween

For Halloween, both girls decided to be mermaids.. and mom got a bit lazy and ordered the costumes.  Shannon was Ariel and Allie was Merliah (if you do not know who Merliah is, don't ask...)....   Personally, I think it is hard to tell they are mermaids, but I did not tell them that!!   :)   

About to head out door to door with a gaggle of girls.. I mean, with an Orca, Rapunzel, a cheerleader, a fairy and TWO mermaids!! :)

Watch out, here we come... :)
