Thanksgiving

A bit behind.. but I would be remiss if I didn't share some of these photos.

We spent Thanksgiving in Richland with Mark, Kim and Brett (and the grandparents). It was a great time, the only sadness was that Ross and Kris couldn't get there due to the weather.... don't tell them, but I think Allie would have chosen the snow... she loved it. :)

She even had time for a snowball fight...

Aside from the snow.. the cousins had a ton of fun playing...

Brett liked to wrestle with the girls...

And even play hide and seek... Allie, where are you??

Then there was dress up time...

Not sure who did her hair, but she was running around saying she was "super fire girl"

What a funny guy.

It was a great weekend with Family.!!

Turkey Cookies...

We decided to make sugar cookie turkeys this year.... We saw a commercial where they used hand shaped cookies to make into turkeys, and Allie wanted desperately to do this...

After baking the cookies, the decorating began... We got to use my fun new toys from pampered chef...and these little squeeze bottles worked great for the girls!!!

Shannon had fun decorating, but seemed really to enjoy the role of quality control... testing every third candy corn!!

Snow Day... well, almost snow....

The first winter storm arrived, and while it left me a little disappointed, Allie was thrilled. She spent the entire day outside playing in the "snow".... making snow angels, sledding, and trying to gather snow for a snowman....

They played out front til they wore the snow out, then headed out back... ended up making a muddy mess, but it was a great fun day for Allie.

Notice all the pictures of Shannon? Well, she went outside for about 2 minutes and said no more.. too cold.

Whacky Farmer Day

Today was whacky farmer day at school...so Allie wanted to dress up like a whacky farmer....

And Shannon decided she would be a whacky fireman.

Ok. fun times.

Creating Art

Allie spent the day with her grandparents at an OSU game while the rest of us stayed in Mac to work a craft fair.

While the game was a total bust.. Allie had fun and was able to create quite an art piece using only two things: granddads truck and leaves.

As Halloween and Reformation Day approached, our house got busy getting ready... this means we carved more pumpkins.. :)

And then the day arrives, and our girls got all dressed up... Could they be cuter? I think not... We started the festivities at a party in portland with some friends.... then headed home.

They are off in search of the Jenkin's girls...

The girls are ready to hit the streets for a few houses before heading home to give out treats..

At first, Shannon was not so sure about going up to the door, but after the first person put candy in her bucket, well, she got the idea and was all for it...
Then the real fun began... answering our door and handing out a treat of fruit snacks. ;)

It was a fun day....

GO OSU

We have created monsters.. both girls LOVE going to the OSU football games..

First, they enjoy the tailgating, and then get so excited to head over to the game. Allie still loves the opening when the Beavers run out onto the field through the Big Helmet.. fireworks go off and everyone cheers.. she is just mesmerized.

Shannon spends most of the game searching for Benny the Beaver....

Then there is always fun to be had while tailgating.. Allie has become an avid bocce baller.. and takes careful measurements... :)

Disney On Ice

The Shaver gals joined up with the Jenkin's Girls to head to Portland for a night out... First stop, dinner at Laurelwood Brewpub.... then it was off to the Rose Garden for Disney on Ice!!

The girls were so excited.... Allie and Lauren even dressed for the occasion.

Allie had to plug her ears though, as she thought the music was a bit loud...

Shannon enjoyed most of it..though she did tell the folks on the ice during the halloween dance to "Go Away", she wanted the "princesses back".

All in all, it was a fun night.

Her interest in photo taking continues.... I uploaded pics on our point and shoot the other day and there were 100 photos... 12 of which I took. hmmmm.........And her subjects vary....

And, not to be outdone.... Shannon has followed suit and began sneaking away with my camera every chance she gets...

We titled this first one "The world from my vantage point"

And, I am actually impressed with this picture she took of Allie....

Gosh, I may have to get these two their own SLR's soon...

Shannon's New Friend..

Shannon and Mommy went on a play date at a pumpkin patch (yes, third trip to a pumpkin patch).... and Allie decided she was going to be friends with Jax... and she insisted on holding his hand.....

We gotta watch this one... those Brandon Sanchez children are prone to nudity and kissing!! :)
